Google has recently updated its Maps app for Android, finally
providing the users with a simple function that they've been waiting for
a long while. From now on, you can easily hide the application's
interface, and see the map in an actual full-screen mode. I know it
doesn't sound like something very complicated, but when we're talking
about the small display of a smartphone, every little bit of extra space
can keep you from constantly scrolling around or zooming in and out.
Starting with Google Maps version 9.11, all you will have to do
is tapping the map and all the UI elements will be gone from your
screen.
Furthermore, this latest update also brings you the ability to edit
the captions of your Geo-tagged images from Google Photos. However, in
order for this feature to work, the photos you want to modify need to be
stored in the "Your Places" section of the Maps app. And lastly, from
now on, you can easily share your custom maps (the ones made by using My
Maps apps) with other people, thus being able to get their opinion on
your travel plans, route selection, etc.
Google Maps for Android version 9.11 is already available and has
started slowly rolling to worldwide users. However, if you aren't
willing to wait for the update to get to you, you can just easily
download it yourself from the APKMirror website by clicking on link
